Just in time for the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa, we have found this great free 92-page Fan Guide 101 on the official South African 2010 World Cup website. Just have a look what it offers:
The United States Soccer Federation (“U.S. Soccer”) has several free PDF documents pertaining to the US versions of the “Laws of the Game”, including:
- 2007 Advice to Referees on the Laws of the Game
- 2007-08 Laws of the Game (English)
- Interpretation of the Laws of the Game and Guidelines for Referees
Now you can get, not one – but two – completely free downloadable soccer rules ebooks!
Both books are in PDF format and you need the free Acrobat reader to view them on your computer. Most computers already have it, but if required, you can get Acrobat here. Afterwards, you can print them out and impress everyone at your next coach’s or parent’s meeting!
In conjunction with FIFA, an international group of experts has developed “The 11+” warm-up package for soccer players.
Warming up prior to playing and training is a matter of routine for any serious player. A smart warm-up not only improves your performance, but also helps you to prevent injuries. “The 11+”, the new injury prevention programme from FIFA’s Medical Assessment and Research Centre (F-MARC), provides a complete, football-specific warm-up and can easily be integrated into a daily training routine.
