well usually you kick with the laces for raw power. when you want to put “english” on a kick, use the inside of your foot and follow through. The more you follow thru to your inside the more it will curl “in”(that is following the direction of the inside of your foot depending if you are lefty or righty). it take alot of practice getting used to and understanding your power vs. placement. to curve outside use the outside of your foot to kick. this is a little harder to control. there is not much follow thru but relying more on how much ball you catch with your “three toes”. it take alot of practice to get these down to perfection but it will add an invaluable asset and is very important to become a high level player. Also it is very important to be able to kick with both feet. I can’t begin to tell you how much my value went up once i dominated them
